No Woman Left Behind! Join the fight on March 8

This year the International Women’s Day will be a historical occasion. For the first time, it will be a holiday in Berlin and we know just what to do with all that extra free time.

Join us for these two actions on March 8:

11.55 Strajk Kobiet, Neptune Fountain, Alexanderplatz, Berlin

Strajk Kobiet – Women’s Strike – is an action organised by Polish women from the group Dziewuchy Berlin. We will celebrate the generations of Polish women, who fought for equality in Poland. How can you join:

  • Bring an umbrella as a reminder of the Polish suffragettes who won the right for women to vote exactly 100 years ago.

  • Dress in black as a reminder of the Black Protest in October 2016, which prevented making the abortion laws in Poland worse than they already are. Women in Poland do not have the right to abortion, although 57% of them think they should have a choice.

  • Bring a foldable chairs and do a symbolic strike in solidarity with the women who cannot afford to stop working that day.

14.00. Frauenkampftag demo at Alexanderplatz

You can find us at the Neptune Fountain at Alexanderplatz at 13.30 and together we join the pro-choice block – Block für sexuelle Selbstbestimmung.
